Patron – Peter Overton

With over 30 years’ experience in the media, Peter has risen to be one of Australia’s top television journalists and news presenters. He has held positions at 2UE, Sky News Australia, Channel 7 Adelaide, 60 Minutes and of course National Nine News, regularly ranked number one in the highly contested 6pm news slot and winning two Logie Awards along the way.

Peter was touched by Motor Neuron Disease when his sister’s best friend, Fiona Pearce was diagnosed in 2005. Peter did not hesitate when he was asked to MC the inaugural MonSTaR Cup and has been a willing participant ever since.

Peter’s personal involvement in MonSTaR has allowed us to better educate and spread the word of our charity, its sufferers, events and good work far and wide, which without him would have been much harder and for that we are forever thankful for his immense generosity.

Peter is married to Jessica Rowe and they have two daughters, Allegra & Giselle.
